Theresa Schlechty, Volunteer Director

A native Arizonian, Theresa fell in love with nonprofits when she was only a teenager. Inspired at a summer camp led by the Mesa Parks & Recreation, Theresa quickly developed a deep passion for charitable work. This resolve stuck with her through other community service work includes working with The Collective—MABEL (Mobile Art Based Engagement Lab), that takes community engagement on the road to create connections and spark creativity. Theresa serves on two boards: The Millet House Art Collective and Arizona Museum of Natural History and previously served on City of Mesa Museum and Cultural Board for 3 years. Over 30 years later, Theresa provides support to our Golden Roller Skates volunteer programs team and is happy spending her days keeping Arizona an amazing place to live, one program at a time~~sharing stories and fulfilling bucket lists for older adults.
