It was a restless night that birthed the idea for Golden Roller Skates. Lisa had recently been helping her parents navigate the declining health of her dad, and how to get the right care. She realized that life didn’t go quite as planned for her parents. They wanted to do so many things and go so many places, but unfortunately, they couldn’t fulfill all their bucket list adventures. Creating business opportunities is a passion for Lisa, so it made sense to partner with her best friend Jackie, and come up with an idea to help seniors in the community. Lisa is an Arizona native, but has also lived in California, Vermont, traveled to Asia, Europe and a few other places. She loves learning about people and other cultures. Each culture takes care of their elderly family members in different ways. Golden Roller Skates has a program called, Discover & Thrive which allows seniors to fulfill bucket list adventures. This program is a beautiful way for seniors and their loved ones to experience something fun, safe and exciting to cherish memories forever. Lisa believes, it doesn’t matter where someone is in the world, everyone gets older, so we might as well have some fun before we run out of time.
